Privacy notice

MiseMint is run by Achyuta M, 28-D, MIG Flats, Near Apeejay School, Shiekh Sarai Phase-1, New Delhi 110017, India. We decide how your data is used, which makes us its "controller". For anything about privacy, email achyutamahesh7@gmail.com.

• Your account: your email, your name, your restaurant's name and its time zone.
• Your bills: what MiseMint reads from the bills, statements and credit memos you snap, upload or email to it, such as the supplier, invoice number, dates, items, prices and totals. We don't keep the photo or PDF of a bill after it's read. The one exception is a photo you add to a credit request, which we keep as proof.
• Emails sent to your MiseMint address: who sent them, the subject, and what was read from the attachments.
• What you add: sales, stock counts, dishes, recipes, cost targets, notes, and the questions you ask in Ask AI.
• Connected accounts: if you connect QuickBooks or Square, we keep the access keys they give us (locked with encryption) and the details needed to send bills or bring in sales.
• Payments: Paddle takes your card and billing details. We only see your plan, its status and dates, never your card number.
• Technical details: your IP address, browser and device, and error reports. We use them to keep MiseMint secure (for example, to limit sign-in attempts) and to fix problems.

• To run MiseMint for you, as our agreement with you requires: reading bills, checking prices, sending the alerts and emails you choose, and connecting the services you pick.
• To keep MiseMint safe and working, which is in our and our users' legitimate interest: stopping abuse and fixing errors.
• To follow the law, for example tax records kept by Paddle.

We never use your bills to train AI models, and the AI provider we use doesn't either.

These companies handle data for us, only to provide their part of MiseMint:

• Paddle.com: our reseller and Merchant of Record. It handles payments, tax, invoices and refunds.
• Supabase: the database and sign-in codes (servers in the United States).
• Vercel: hosting for the app (United States).
• Anthropic: the AI that reads bills and answers questions. Under its commercial terms, it doesn't train on what we send it.
• Resend: sends MiseMint's emails and receives the bills you email in.
• Intuit (QuickBooks) and Square: only if you connect them.

We may also share data with our professional advisers (such as an accountant or lawyer), or with authorities when the law requires it.

We're based in India, and your data is stored in the United States. Our providers protect data moved between countries with standard legal safeguards, such as the EU's standard contractual clauses.

We keep your data while your account is open. Forgetting a bill in MiseMint deletes it. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. Technical logs are kept for a short time only, usually days.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for something. Email achyutamahesh7@gmail.com and we'll answer within one month. You can turn off MiseMint's emails in Settings, or with the link at the bottom of each email.

If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you're in California, we don't sell or share your personal information as those words are used in California law.

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Keys for connected accounts are encrypted, each restaurant only sees its own data, and only the people who run MiseMint can reach the database.

MiseMint only uses the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

MiseMint is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
